Game StoryCOLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Kevin Witt slugged a two-run homer to help the Toledo Mud Hens top the Columbus Clippers, 5-4. Witt, who leads Toledo with three home runs and 11 RBI, put the Mud Hens ahead, 3-2, with a two-out shot in the sixth inning. Toledo added an unearned run in the eighth and A.J. Hinch hit a run-scoring double in the ninth as the Mud Hens snapped a four-game losing streak. Craig Monroe continued a fast start with two doubles and a pair of runs scored for Toledo. Monroe leads his team with 15 hits and a .429 average. Terry Pearson (2-0) pitched 2/3 of an inning of scoreless relief for the win. He has yet to allow a run in seven innings of work this year. Fernando Rodney collected his first save of the season, allowing a run in one inning of work and getting the final out with runners on first and second. Andy Phillips and Fernando Seguignol, who leads the International League with five longballs this season, each had a solo homer for Columbus. Randy Choate (0-2) surrendered an unearned run in 2/3 of an inning to get the loss for the Clippers, who fell into last place in the West Division with the loss.
